Inflation is getting worse. Overall prices soared 7.9% between February 2021 and February 2022, the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. That is the biggest 12-month rise in 40 years and higher than experts had forecast. Of course, some prices are climbing faster than others. In particular, some grocery items are skyrocketing in price, jumping at a pace never seen before.
